Using an explainer video to convey complex information has been an increasingly popular method among many companies and organizations. The Bone Marrow Donor Programme has hopped on this trend too, but with an additional touch of grain texture to spice things up.
The Bone Marrow Donor Programme is an organization that manages Singapore’s only register of volunteer bone marrow donors since 1993. They provide that often, last chance of survival to hundreds of patients suffering from terminal blood-related diseases, in the form of a bone marrow transplant from an unrelated marrow donor. They reach out to all sectors within their community to share the message and empower people with the choice to save a life. As what they do directly impacts life and death, they are fully committed to building the local donor register into a national asset to help all Singaporeans have that second chance of life.
We were honoured when they chose us to be part of this meaningful journey by creating this explainer video. Through this video, they hope to showcase their organisation’s mission and vision, educate the general public on information about bone marrow, marrow donation and direction on how the viewers can register as a donor.
In this video we did for the Bone Marrow Donor Programme, we designed and created multiple factories and cell characters to represent actual machines, human cells and bodies. This would not only help the viewers understand the complex content faster but also make the whole video more lively and entertaining to the viewers. We have also taken it up a notch by having the video fully animated in grain textured style. This will make our video stand out more as it is unique and refreshing to the viewers.
Creating an explainer video is a great way to increase the brand value of your company too. You can promote your brand, as well as its story and offerings, and make the viewers aware of your company. In this video, we included the Bone Marrow Donor Programme logo, brand colour, taglines, and much more that are distinct to their organisation.
We are grateful that the Bone Marrow Donor Programme gave us the chance to challenge ourselves to create an explainer video using a new texture style that we have never tried before. It is always fulfilling to be part of a project that stretches our potential.
